Remanufacturing Process

We learned back in 1992 that Gym owners would only buy used fitness equipment if they could be assured that nobody found out.   The fitness business owner said he/she could not afford to let the word get out around town that their business took the lower cost route and bought used equipment.

They told us that if the local competition got wind of the fact the fitness equipment they purchased was really secondhand equipment.  The competition would use it against then in their marketing efforts.

This put Used Gym Equipment LLC on a mission to switch from  Refurbishing (definition=to clean and beautify). To a complete RE-Manufacturing of the fitness equipment which rendered it, “New Again”.

After a few years of trial and error, and almost a million dollars,  we finally got it right.   Which brought on problem number two.  Which was the increased cost that had to be added to each used fitness product we sold. This problem was a real challenge.  How could we bring the equipment back to like-new again and still give our customers a significant savings over brand new fitness equipment?

The problem could only be solved by “VERY-HIGH-SALES-VOLUME".  By Remanufacturing 100 treadmills at a time instead of 10.  We could save enough money on the parts and procedures to accomplish our goals.   We discovered if we bought very large quantities of new parts from our suppliers at one time.  We could negotiate a significant savings on our purchases.  If we sold a million dollars a month instead of $100,000 a month, we could make our dream a reality.

Now it’s the year 2009 and our big investment has paid off.  The finished product has allowed the fitness business owner to buy remanufactured fitness equipment and his customers don’t know the difference.  The Gym owner can now satisfy his clients and his accountant at the same time.

Now the NEW PROBLEM for the buyer’s.  Are all the copy-cat used gym companies popping up in every small warehouse around the USA.  Any guy with an internet connection and web designing software is now the “LEADER” in the Gym business.

Now that it’s so easy to build a website it’s very hard for the consumer to determine who is telling the truth and who is faking it.  We advise that seeing is believing.  Plane tickets are pretty cheap these days.  We suggest flying into see the equipment BEFORE you make a purchase.  Otherwise you are really taking a risk.

Or, just make it easy on yourself and spend 5% more and buy from usedgymequipment.com.  Because you know the old saying, “You Get What You Pay For”.    And if you compare our Re-manufactured prices with brand new prices for the same product.  We have the best deal going in the Gym Industry.
If you compare our prices to the tiny little business in a 4,000 square foot garage and a good website,  You might get burned.
